MANILA - Actress Beauty Gonzalez explained her tearful return to the limelight at a press conference for the upcoming film "The Achy Breaky Hearts," in which she plays the friend to the lead character portrayed by Kapamilya star Jodi Sta. Maria.

"It's good to be back. I'm happy that Star Cinema remembers me and ABS-CBN welcomes me very well," said Gonzalez in an interview on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" on Friday.

Gonzalez made headlines back in September when she exited the morning series "Ningning" after getting pregnant with her first child with boyfriend, art curator Norman Crisologo.

"Siyempre, emotional ako kasi I got pregnant, you know, ang daming nadehado rin. I'm still hopeful and thankful that a lot of people still remember and gets me," she admitted.

Gonzalez, in the same interview, also talked about her future plans with Crisologo, as well as working with Sta. Maria and her two leading men, Ian Veneracion and Richard Yap.

Directed by Antoinette Jadaone, "The Achy Breaky Hearts" will premiere nationwide on June 29.
