MANILA, Philippines -- The urn containing the ashes of screen legend Eddie Garcia is now at Chapel 3 of Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig City.
Garcia's nephew, Ver Garcia Lamiel, said public viewing will start at 3 p.m. on Friday.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Lamiel shared how Garcia planned his funeral.
Sabi niya sa akin noon, 'Ver, acting is my passion.'"
Dr. Tony Rebosa, the spokesperson of Garcia's family, on Thursday said they have decided to grant the actor's dying wish of being cremated and have a public wake to honor his fans.
Garcia died Thursday afternoon after nearly two weeks in a coma due to a neck injury he sustained while shooting a TV series for GMA Network. -- with a report from Jeff Fernando, ABS-CBN News
