MANILA, Philippines -- The urn containing the ashes of screen legend Eddie Garcia is now at Chapel 3 of Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig City.

Garcia's nephew, Ver Garcia Lamiel, said public viewing will start at 3 p.m. on Friday.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Lamiel shared how Garcia planned his funeral.

"Noong 1996 pa, bumili na siya... Kapag siya ay namatay, diretso na siya sa cremate. Ang kanyang urn o kanyang abo, sinabi niya noon na iaano sa helicopter, siguro sa unahan ng Manila Bay," he said.

Lamiel continued: "Minsan, 'yung mga kamag-anak ko na umuwi last January, iniimbita siya para mag-ipon-ipon kami, 'yung mga nasa Canada, America. Kaya lang sabi niya nga, 'Ver, hindi na ako puwede dahil 'yung mga buto ko nagmamarakas na.' Sabi niya sa akin noon, 'Ver, acting is my passion.'"
