MANILA – Gab Valenciano is not totally closing his doors on showbiz after all.

Speaking exclusively with ABS-CBN News after the “I Can Do That” grand finals on Sunday, Valenciano explained that he is at a point in his life where he feels that there are other things that he wants to focus on.

The dancer, however, maintained that the celebrity talent competition, where he finished fourth place, made him “fall in love with performing again.”

“This show has made me fall in love with the challenges that are thrown my way in terms of what I am capable of doing. So maybe in the future -- I don’t know. Definitely, before the show started, I was ready to shut it all out. Pero at this point, there could be a chance in the future,” he said.

In his interview on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" last month, Valenciano announced that he will stop making shows after his stint on "I Can Do That," saying that he wants to focus on directing, as well as creating and producing music.

Meanwhile, Valenciano shared that he is happy with his fourth place finish on “I Can Do That.” It was comedian Wacky Kiray who waas hailed the first-ever “greatest entertainer” on the show.

“Honestly, way before the finals happened, nag-usap-usap kaming candidates. We told ourselves na everything that we worked so hard for, we all feel like winners already,” he said.

In fact, Valeciano said he came to the finale without any expectations.

“I didn’t really expect anything. Nag-perform lang talaga ako with the best of my ability. Nakita ko naman lahat ng mga acts. Sabi ko sa sarili ko, wow, what a jampacked grand finals. Inisip ko na lang, if ever I win, amazing. If ever fourth, the mere fact na nasa grand finals ako, it’s a blessing na for me,” he said.

He also said he dedicated this feat to his family.

“Everything I do is to make them proud and at the same time is to give back the glory to God,” he said.

Valenciano is the son of Kapamilya singer Gary Valenciano.
