MANILA — After a three-month pause, "The Voice Teens" is hitting play again in its search for the next singing champion, via the Kapamilya Channel.

"The Voice Teens" was among the ABS-CBN programs that halted production in mid-March amid the coronavirus pandemic. Its return was further held off with the government shutdown of ABS-CBN's broadcast operations in May.

On Thursday, "The Voice Teens" was announced as part of the maiden lineup of Kapamilya Channel, alongside other well-loved ABS-CBN shows, both current and classics.

The superstar-coaches of "The Voice Teens" — Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo, and apl.de.ap — were recruiting artists via the Blind Auditions when the program temporarily went off air.

As in the global format of the singing competition, each team will then trim its number of artists through the Battle Rounds, then the Knockout Rounds, before heading into the live shows.

Kapamilya Channel will be available starting June 13 on SKY, Cablelink, G Sat, and most member-cable operators of the Philippine Cable Television Association (PCTA) nationwide.

The cable and satellite TV channels that will carry the Kapamilya Channel are owned and operated by other companies and are not covered by the cease and desist order issued by the NTC to ABS-CBN.
