MANILA—"Hindi pa tapos ang laban ni Cardo."

These were the opening words of the new trailer of "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano," teasing its nearing return via the Kapamilya Channel after three months off air.

The Philippines' current highest-rated series was among the ABS-CBN programs that halted production in mid-March amid the coronavirus pandemic. Its resumption was further held off with the government shutdown of ABS-CBN's broadcast operations in May.

On Thursday, the Coco Martin-starrer was announced as part of the maiden lineup of Kapamilya Channel, alongside other well-loved ABS-CBN shows, both current and classics.

Kapamilya Channel will be available starting June 13 on SKY, Cablelink, G Sat, and most member-cable operators of the Philippine Cable Television Association (PCTA) nationwide.

Under the general community quarantine, "Ang Probinsyano" is able to resume filming, but with strict protocols that adhere to safety standards in light of the pandemic.

The trailer shows highlights from previous seasons of the four-year-old action drama, with a recap of Cardo's (Martin) most recent nemeses.

Upon its Kapamilya Channel debut, "Ang Probinsyano" will first air a 10-episode recap of the ongoing season, before the release of fresh episodes.

Aside from "Ang Probinsyano," Kapamilya Channel's drama programming includes "A Soldier's Heart" and "Love Thy Woman," as well as the hit K-drama "The World of a Married Couple."

New shows include the public service programs "Paano Ba Kita Pasasalamatan" with Judy Ann Santos, and "Iba 'Yan" with Angel Locsin.

The cable and satellite TV channels that will carry the Kapamilya Channel are owned and operated by other companies and are not covered by the cease and desist order issued by the NTC to ABS-CBN.
