Screen veteran Vina Morales took to social media Tuesday to express her thanks for an "answered prayer," a day after her ex-boyfriend, Cedric Lee, was found guilty in a kidnapping case she had filed against him.

On Instagram, the 42-year-old actress posted a photo of a cross inside St. Padre Pio Chapel in Quezon City, which she captioned: "Salamat po Panginoon. Padre pio, Mahal kong pamilya, Matatalik kong kaibigan at sa iyo Atty @lucillesering. To God be the Glory #AnsweredPrayer #GodisGreat #thankful"

Atty. Lucille Sering is Morales's legal counsel in the kidnapping case she filed against Lee in October 2016 before the Mandaluyong City Regional Trial Court. The complaint was in connection with Lee's violation of his visitation rights to their daughter, Ceana, now 9.

Morales's complaint alleges that Lee detained Ceana for nine days, after which the child supposedly had "slight behavioral changes." Lee denied Morales's claims, and countered with two libel cases against the actress. Both were eventually dismissed.

Released Monday, the decision of Mandaluyong City's Regional Trial Court, finding Lee "guilty beyond reasonable doubt" in the kidnapping case, orders him to pay a fine of P300 and moral and nominal damages amounting to P50,000.
