"Kasal," the romance-drama film starring Bea Alonzo, Paulo Avelino, and Derek Ramsay, has marked a box-office milestone, its producer announced Monday.

Star Cinema, in its social media channels, said the Ruel Bayani film has earned P100 million, 13 days since its May 16 nationwide release. It is unclear if this latest box office count includes international screenings.

Starting May 24 until June 3, "Kasal" is being screened in selected cinemas in the Middle East, Brunei, Papua New Guinea, US, Canada, Saipan, Guam, UK, Italy, Austria, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

"Kasal," which was released as part of Star Cinema's 25th anniversary celebration, earned P10 million on its opening day in the Philippines.

Its story follows a public school teacher, Lia (Alonzo), as she navigates the world of politics after getting engaged with Philip (Avelino), who is running for mayor in Cebu.

Their relationship is shaken, however, with the return of Lia's ex-boyfriend, Wado (Ramsay), whose determination to woo her back borders on obsession and threatens to unveil past secrets.
