'Idol Philippines': James Reid fan makes judges smile with 'Crazy Thing Called Love'

MANILA - A 25-year-old singer, who is a self-confessed fan of James Reid, made the judges of "Idol Philippines" smile with his performance.

On Sunday's episode, Brandon Diamante received praises for his performance of "Crazy Thing Called Love."

"Parang cool na cool ka. Parang hindi ka kinabahan. Tamang tama lang 'yung confidence. 'Yung boses, meron naman. May kaunting kailangan ayusin," Regine Velasquez told Diamante.

Reid also said he enjoyed the performance.

"I enjoyed the performance. Nakahawa 'yung smile mo at 'yung energy mo," he said.

Diamante received three yesses from the judges and will be moving on to the next round.

Hosted by Billy Crawford, "Idol Philippines" airs Saturdays after "Home Sweetie Home" and Sundays after "Wansapanataym."
