MANILA – Bea Alonzo admitted there was a time when she almost decided to quit showbiz and just live a normal life.

The "Kasal" actress said this when she appeared on Bianca Gonzalez' YouTube vlog "Paano Ba 'To" to help a netizen who is seeking advice due to burnout.

"Alam mo, lahat tayo dumadaan diyan. Ako kasi, dalawang beses or tatlong beses ko na yata napagdaanan sa career ko 'yan," Alonzo began as she narrated her personal experience.

"May mga times na dumating ako sa point na gusto ko na mag-quit. Tumitingin na ako ng mga properties sa ibang bansa, na doon na ako titira sa Canada," she added.

Instead of jumping into something without giving it much thought, Alonzo said she turned to God and asked him to lead her to the right path.

"Very spiritual din kasi akong tao... Kung ano talaga 'yung gusto ni Lord na ipagawa sa akin, 'yun ang gagawin ko," she said.

When asked what made her choose to stay every time she feels like quitting, Alonzo said: "Parang nabibigyan ako lagi ng project that renews my love for this business."

One of these projects is "One More Chance," Alonzo's phenomenal movie with John Lloyd Cruz.

"'Yung 'One More Chance,' nagkaroon ako ng ibang perspective sa acting at sa craft. Parang nagkaroon ng second wave ng love for this business na nawala kasi na-burn out ako. Nakakapagod," she said.

In the end, Alonzo advised the netizen to take a break and reflect on what she wants to do in life.

"I-figure out mo kung ito ba talaga ang gusto mong gawin. It's not fair for your employer na kinukuha ka niya, binabayaran ka niya for a job na hindi mo ginagawa nang maayos. Half-hearted mo lang ginagawa. It's not fair for you na ginagawa mo 'yung isang trabaho na hindi mo na mahal," she said.

For Alonzo, if a person loves what he or she is doing, money and success will follow.
