"Tawag ng Tanghalan" host Vice Ganda reveals judge Jaya, in fact, voted for eliminated "resbaker' Aila Santos, amid criticisms targeted at the music veteran over Tuesday's results of the singing competition. ABS-CBN

"Tawag ng Tanghalan" judge Jaya expressed affection for host Vice Ganda after the comedian came to her defense amid "bashing" over the results of a recent "Ultimate Resbak" episode of the singing competition.

On Twitter Thursday, Jaya wrote: "I love you @vicegandako for speaking on my behalf. I'm crying now because I absolutely felt your sincerest love. God bless you my friend."

The music veteran's tweet came after Vice Ganda addressed viewers of "Tawag ng Tanghalan," on the topic of "resbaker" Aila Santos' elimination last Tuesday. He revealed that Jaya, in fact, voted for the Mindanao bet, whose number of fans hurled insults at the judge online under the assumption she wanted Santos out.

"Someone has to stand up for Ms. Jaya. I just have to defend her, kasi it was not fair for her na bina-bash siya kahapon, nababasa ko, pine-personal siya. Hindi niyo po alam, si Ms. Jaya ang isa sa dalawang judges na bumoto kay Aila. Kaya huwag mangba-bash," he said at the time.

Amid the personal attacks, Jaya took to Twitter a cryptic self-reminder to "never respond to rudeness."

"When people are rude to you, they reveal who they are, not who you are. Don't take it personally. Be silent," her tweet read.

Jaya, among the regular rotating judges of "Tawag ng Tanghalan," was not present during episodes on Wednesday and Thursday, as she is set to stage a concert in Seattle on Friday.
