MANILA — A few were left wondering who Arabella de Leon was after the name ranked among the top trends on Twitter on Tuesday night.

But many, too, have long been anticipating her "arrival" after nearly four months, and the wait finally bore fruit that evening.

Arabella de Leon is the birth name of Angel Locsin's character in the hit action-drama "The General's Daughter." She is the daughter of the titular general Marcial (Albert Martinez) and his wife Corazon (Eula Valdez), but was stolen as a baby and raised to be an assassin by the couple's rivals Tiago (Tirso Cruz III) and Amelia (Janice de Belen).

She grew up believing she was Tiago and Amelia's daughter, Diana Guerrero. Trained to become a double agent in the Army under the guise of Rhian Bonifacio, her ultimate goal was to kill Marcial, her actual father.

When that opportunity finally presented itself — after a tumultuous journey of blindly following then rebelling against Tiago — Rhian was stopped by Corazon, who had finally figured out that she was their daughter based on a teddy bear she owned.

Followers of the Dreamscape series praised the acting of the powerhouse cast, particularly the speechless Locsin, whose portrayal saw Rhian shedding a single tear.
