MANILA -- They've mostly written from personal experiences.

But for this new, upcoming song of theirs, local band Ben&Ben took inspiration from a heartbreaking story about untold love left in the comments section of one of their music videos by a stranger.

The story goes that a certain "Anne Jou" has been in love with her best friend since they were in high school. She wasn't able to tell him then, deciding to "bury" her feelings, afraid that they'll lose their friendship. Fast forward eight years later and she's attending his wedding.

In the words of Anne Jou: "Before his wedding he thanked me for being his best friend and told me that before he met the girl he got married to, he loved me first. For 5 years. But he was also scared of losing me so he just decided to keep it."

"We didn't know that if only one of us dared to make a move, a lifetime was waiting for us."

The comment was left on the comments section of Ben&Ben's music video for "Pagtingin," also about missed chances, two months ago.

The band said that reading it now has inspired a new song in them, and they promised to release it soon.
