A household name with 30 years in show business, Judy Ann Santos is regarded today as a superstar, but behind the cameras, the actress is just like any regular person when within the comforts of her home.

But evidence of this, particularly Santos' just-woke up, no-makeup selfie, appears to have shattered the illusion for a fan of the Kapamilya star. The follower couldn't help but leave a comment on Santos's post on Instagram.

"You know you are not a star when you have no make up. Go the the bathroom [and] fix yourself," the follower wrote.

The rude comment caught the attention of Santos, who was "apologetic" in her response that provided a simple and logical explanation.

Santos replied: "Hi! Sorry naman, but I don't wear makeup when I'm not working, more so pag asa bahay lang ako at bagong gising."

Incidentally, the exchange came a day before Santos' 40th birthday on May 11 -- a fact brought up by several of the actress' fans who came to her defense against the critic's comment, saying she's "aging gracefully" with our without makeup.
