MANILA -- Denise Laurel is now part of the ABS-CBN primetime series "Ang Probinsyano."

The actress plays the role of Police Major Alessandra Romero.

Based on the caption in Dreamscape's post on Instagram, it seems that Romero is lead character Cardo Dalisay's (Coco Martin) newest boss.

Laurel's character was introduced in "Ang Probinsyano" on Monday.

Laurel also announced her new role on "Ang Probinsyano" with a post on her Instagram account.

"Small but terrible! Police major Alex Romano 💪🏽 Surrounded by these beautiful ladies who got my back :)," she wrote.

"Ang Probinsyano" airs weeknights after "TV Patrol."
