MANILA – Filipino singer Jej Vinson is now part of “The Voice” Season 16’s Top 13.

Although he was not part of the top eight contestants voted by the American audience, Vinson made the cut after his coach Kelly Clarkson used her “save” and picked him over the rest of her team members.

On Monday (Tuesday in Manila), Vinson serenaded the audience when he performed his own version of Khalid’s “Love Lies.”

It was the first time the Top 24 performed live on the show in an attempt to win the judges’ and America’s votes to advance to the next round.

Among the 24 remaining contestants from all four teams, only 13 advanced including a wildcard.

Aside from Vinson, the other contestants rounding up the Top 13 are Rod Stokes also from Clarkson’s team; Andrew Sevener, Gyth Rigdon, Carter Lloyd Horne, Dexter Roberts and Oliv Blu from Blake Shelton’s team; Maelyn Jarmon, Shawn Sounds and Celia Babini from John Legend’s team; and LB Krew and Mari from Adam Levine’s team.

For the next round, all 13 contestants will perform and five of them will get eliminated.
