MANILA – Julia Barretto is very proud of her younger sister Claudia, who is set to release her debut single under Universal Records soon.
On Instagram, Julia shared a snippet of Claudia’s song titled “Stay,” which will be released on May 19.
In the caption, she wrote: “Claudia, you are full of surprises.”
“It’s something I’ve always wanted to do,” Claudia previously said in a video posted on the Facebook page of Universal Records, adding, “I decided that it was time to start making music.”
Claudia said people can expect her songs to be a mix of pop and R&B, and is hoping to have the chance to work with Yeng Constantino and Sam Concepcion.
When asked how Julia reacted to her decision to be part of the local music scene, the younger Barretto replied: “She was so happy because she’s wanted this dream for me as much as I wanted it.”
Julia and Claudia are Marjorie Barretto’s daughters with actor Dennis Padilla.
