MANILA – Jodi Sta. Maria was unable to escape questions from entertainment reporters about the supposed engagement of her former boyfriend, Jolo Revilla, to Binibining Pilipinas 2016 runner-up Angelica Alita.

Sta. Maria was cornered at the sidelines of the press conference of her upcoming film “Man and Wife” on Thursday.

When directly asked for a comment about Revilla’s supposed engagement, Sta. Maria initially replied only with a smile.

She then begged off to say anything on the matter.

“It’s not for me to comment… You guys know naman that we are no longer together. Thank you,” she said smiling.

Revilla confirmed his separation from Sta. Maria in July 2018.

Over the weekend, his status became the subject of speculation after Alita was seen wearing what appeared to be a bejeweled ring.

Alita reportedly shared a clip of her posing with the ring on Instagram Stories. That video has since expired, but hawk-eyed followers have re-posted it.

The sighting of the ring coincides with the couple’s Boracay vacation, going by their recent social media posts.

Revilla and Alita respectively shared a photo of them together on board a yacht, with similar captions.

“There’s nothing not to love about you. Thank you for making our world so wonderful, on to the next,” Alita wrote, addressing Revilla.

Revilla, meanwhile, captioned his photo: “Thanks for loving me for who I am… Looking forward to more adventures in our wonderful journey together!”
