MANILA — What if Marvel and Disney had cast Filipino actors in key roles in the series of “Avengers” films?
A collection of fan art by graphic artist Glenn Paolo Villeza imagines just that, and has gone viral coinciding with the record-breaking release of “Avengers: Endgame” in the Philippines.
A Facebook album compiling the works of Villeza, as of writing, has garnered over 100,000 shares and some 10,000 comments.
Among the imagined casting are Richard Gutierrez as Captain America, John Lloyd Cruz as Iron Man, Liza Soberano as Scarlet Witch, Julia Montes as Black Widow, and Gerald Anderson as Star Lord, among others.

Comments on each of the images ranged from agreement to amusement, as well as further suggestions for the so-called “Marvel Pinoy” casting.
