MANILA — Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis, real-life “sisterettes” whose co-host chemistry on “It’s Showtime” has resulted in dozens of funny moments gone viral, are finally bringing their team-up to the big screen.

The project was announced by the duo on the noontime program on Thursday, and is penciled for a Christmas Day release.

“Kasama ito sa regalo namin ng ‘It’s Showtime,’ kasi 10th year,” Vice Ganda said, referring to the upcoming milestone of the ABS-CBN show in October.

“Magmula nang maging magkaibigan kami ni Anne, hindi pa kami gumagawa ng pelikula together, so regalo namin ito ngayong Pasko,” he added.

Its scheduled release makes it a prospective entry to the annual Metro Manila Film Festival, where Vice Ganda has become a staple with six participating films in the past eight years, each first-ranked in the box office race.
