MANILA – Yam Concepcion gave a straightforward answer when asked if she regrets having done sexy roles when she was just starting in showbiz.

“I’ll be honest with you, kung alam ko lang Tito Boy, hindi ko na ginawa,” she said during her appearance on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” Tuesday.

Nonetheless, Concepcion acknowledged that “everything happens for a reason.”

“I guess that’s part of my journey,” she said.

She also addressed a recent issue where she cried foul after a Twitter user shared stills from her past movie “Rigodon,” showing her intimate scenes.

The netizen who uploaded the stills is obviously an avid viewer of “Halik.” In the post’s caption, the Twitter user said the screenshots should be used by Lino (Jericho Rosales’ character in the series) against Jade (Concepcion’s character) so she would get convicted of adultery.

“This has always been an issue sa akin. I’m not gonna deny. Doon ako nanggaling. Dapat hindi mo rin kalimutan kung saan ka nanggaling. But I don’t get it kung anong gusto niyong patunayan, kung anong gusto niyong maramdaman ko,” she said.

Concepcion then said the reason she is working hard today is to prove that “that’s not only what I can do.”
