MANILA — Nearly four years into its run, “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” is showing no signs of waning as the undisputed No. 1 TV show in the Philippines, and in fact reached a record-high this year with a pivotal episode that saw back-to-back character deaths.
The March 28 episode of the Dreamscape action-drama, which centered on the all-out clash between Vendetta and President Cabrera’s forces, registered a nationwide rating of 46.8%, according to Kantar Media.
That number is nearly triple the viewership garnered by “Ang Probinsyano’s” rival program, “Kara Mia,” which only got 15.3% on the same night.
This latest audience draw of “Ang Probinsyano” is its highest so far in 2019, making it stil, the far-and-away top television program in the country.
It’s followed by “The General’s Daughter,” another Dreamscape production, which courted a nationwide rating of 34.8% on March 28.
The all-time highest rating of “Ang Probinsyano” remains 47.2%, which it registered on October 4, 2018.
