MANILA – Singer-dancer Gab Valenciano recently took to social media to apologize "to everyone I may have hurt."

In a lengthy Instagram Stories post which was re-uploaded by his mother, Angeli Pangilinan, Valenciano admitted he hasn't been his "true self," stressing that he "was not raised this way."

"I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to everyone I may have hurt with my inability to value certain friendships and relationships," he began.

"I haven't been my true self for a while, and because of that, I demolished beautiful bridges. I strayed away from my family, my passions, my friends, and even our almighty God. I am deeply ashamed. I was not raised this way. I am truly sorry."

Valenciano went on to promise that he will "be better" as he acknowledged the presence of his support system -- his family and friends.

"I have two extraordinary parents, a radiant and beautiful baby sister, a brother who understands what it means to be a true respectable man, a sister-in-law who has always loved and cared for me, and of course, their little bundle of joy who glues us all together," he said.

He continued: "I also happen to have the most epic of friends who inspire me to keep moving forward. There is so much to be thankful for and I will never, ever take that for granted again."

"I will be better. I promise."

On Tuesday, Tricia Centenera looked back on her failed marriage with Valenciano.

The blogger-model admitted that it was a painful experience, but stressed that Valenciano "is a good man who has just made some bad choices."

"Yes, this man broke me. However, I didn't let it ruin me forever," she acknowledged in a blog post. "Expectation is that as his ex-wife I should hate him, I honestly don't."

"There's nothing wrong with failing and he is trying his best to be the best version of himself, so please let him try," she added.
