MANILA - There's no stopping the "Birit Queens" from slaying their first group concert at the Mall of Asia Arena on March 31.

Although Angeline Quinto was sick and unable to join them, Jona, Morissette and Klarisse still pushed through with their band rehearsal on Thursday.

During the rehearsal, the "Birit Queens" practiced some of the songs they will perform during the show. Concertgoers can expect to listen to a medley of Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Adele, and Lady Gaga, as well as some Broadway and classic hits.

Also present in the rehearsal are the band and backup singers, including voice coach Annie Quintos and music director Homer Flores.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Morissette said they will also be giving tribute to various girl groups such as the Spice Girls.

Morissette added their fans can expect to see something fresh and new since they are attempting to move away from their usual routines in "ASAP."

"Iki-cater namin lahat ng audiences dito sa concert namin. Hindi lang lahat ng songs ay pambata or pangmatanda -- for everybody. So it's a challenge for us kasi we're trying to set the tone for everything. Kakayanin namin," she said.

Apart from doing a series of band rehearsals, Jona said they will have dress and dance rehearsals to ensure that everything will be in place during the big night.

Klarisse, meanwhile, said they are a bit pressured because of the high expectations from their fans.

She assures them, however, that they will give them their money's worth.

Tickets are priced at P4,770, P4,030, P3,395, P2,650, P1,060, and P320 each and are available at SM Tickets.

Klarisse added that after this concert, they are hoping to come up with another group project, like a song or an album.

"Sana talaga magkaroon kami ng album or kahit song na kaming apat. Kasi nai-imagine din namin kung anong magiging tunog," she said.

Joining the Birit Queens in their concert are celebrity hunks Rayver Cruz, Zeus Collins, Sam Concepcion and Iñigo Pascual, and the members of Boyband PH.
