When it was all over, a standing ovation from the audience rightly given for their show-stopping dance routine, the members of Junior Good Vibes were grateful.

Stepping in the semifinals stage of the third season of "Asia's Got Talent" was the "biggest opportunity" that the group from Sampaloc have had so far in their career.

Insane flips, head tilts, sleek formations, comedic belly-dancing, and some of the usual moves one would see in a hip-hop routine but elevated up a notch --all were done in nearly perfect sync.

The judges called it "flawless" and made them believe again in the old adage that if there's a will, there's way.

"Hindi namin inaakala na makakapasok kami dito sa semifinals," said one of their members, nearly in tears. "Sobrang dami pong pinaghirapan namin bago kami makarating dito.

"Inaalay po namin iyong sayaw namin para sa mga kagrupo na naiwan po namin, sa lahat po ng mga pamilya namin. Ito po iyong pinakamalaking opportunity na dumating as buhay namin.

"Maraming salamat po."

By the end of Thursday's episode, though, it was revealed that their journey in the competition isn't over, and that there's a bigger opportunity waiting for them --the chance to win the grand prize of $100,000 (more than P5 million).

The judges had the power to send one from the second batch of semifinalists straight to the grand finals, and they unanimously voted that it should be Junior Good Vibes.

They join another act from the Philippines, Philip Galit a.k.a Shadow Ace, a golden buzzer act from the auditions, whom the public voted into the grand finals.

Teen singer Eleana Gabunada, also a golden buzzer act, is awaiting her fate as she will need to garner enough votes, like Galit, to emerge from the second batch of semifinalists.

Swift came in first on the Global Recording Artist Chart 2024 released late Tuesday by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).

Swift also topped four other IFPI charts —  Global Album Chart, Global Vinyl Album Chart, Global Streaming Album Chart and Global Album Sales Chart — with her album "The Tortured Poets Department," released in April.

The singer's record-breaking "Eras Tour" generated interest in Swift's past albums, with several of them landing on the IFPI's global vinyl chart, the IFPI said in a statement.

"We are immensely proud to award the IFPI Global Recording Artist of the Year Award to Taylor Swift for the fifth time, as she continues to redefine the limits of global success," IFPI CEO Victoria Oakley said.

"This has been a huge year for Taylor, and it has been incredible to see the extent to which fans all over the world are connecting with her superb catalogue of music," Oakley added.

Swift first won the IFPI's Recording Artist of the year award in 2014, followed by wins in 2019, 2022, and 2023—the most by any artist in the award's 12-year history, according to the industry group.

Canadian rapper Drake ranked second on the artist chart, followed by K-pop boy band SEVENTEEN.

The global artist chart is based on "consumption of an artist’s entire catalogue across all formats, including physical album sales, downloads and streaming across both free and paid platforms," according the IFPI.
