If you were holding out hope that a reunion movie between Lea Salonga and Aga Muhlach will happen this year, you can go ahead and let that go for now.

Salonga, in a press conference prior to the "Disney Princess: I Dare to Dream" concert at Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday, said the planned project has been shelved and isn't likely to hit cinemas anytime soon.

"That's not happening this year," she said. "He [Muhlach] is way too busy playing golf and travelling the world, checking out really amazing art, and watching his wife run marathons. So you know what, I think we have to let him live his life for a while."

Salonga for her part, said she'll have her hands full with concerts and a coaching stint on "The Voice Teens" this 2017.

Asked if it had been simply pushed to next year, she replied: "We may all be in for a very long, long, long wait."

The reunion movie was first announced by Star Cinema back in 2015, but has been in limbo since.

It would have been Salonga and Muhlach's third movie together.

The massive success of their first two, namely "Sana Maulit Muli" and "Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal," has made them one of the most memorable love teams to come out of the '90s.
