MANILA -- "Honor Thy Father," which stars John Lloyd Cruz, was named best film at the 2018 European Philippine International Film Festival (EPIFF) held in Florence, Italy.

Tommy Abuel took the best actor prize for his performance in the movie "Dagsin," while Ces Quesada was best actress for "Imbisibol."

On Facebook, Quesada, who is now part of the afternoon series "Hanggang Saan," thanked EPIFF for the recognition. "I am truly honored and grateful. Mabuhay!" she wrote.
