MANILA – One week since unknown gunmen fired shots at her van, Kim Chiu returned to social media to share her realizations about the incident.

For Chiu, the ordeal made her understand that life is indeed short and precious. She also realized how her faith in God saved not just her but her personal assistant and driver as well.

“None of us was hurt. He is really powerful amongst us all. I must say it was a miracle. I could not explain the feeling but I know He was with us and so were our guardian angels,” she said.

Chiu then went on to thank the people who have been by her side since the incident. This includes the ABS-CBN executives who met with her later that day, her Star Magic family, her sister Lakam, and her friend Ranvel Rufino who helped her get in touch with lawyers immediately.

“So many people helped me get through this. I am blessed to be surrounded with these kind of people. They don’t have to do this. Ang dami na nilang pinoproblema but still they insist to help me,” she said.
