Recalling how she was sure-footed that she was going to take home the coveted beauty-pageant crown when she competed in 2015, Wurtzbach acknowledged that she didn't quite have the same confidence that she could pull off a lead role in a film.

Wurtzbach's acting career failed to take off in 2002. But after picking herself back up and pursuing a Miss Universe title, she's now promoting the release of her second movie in three months. Surreal was the only word she could think of to describe her life at the moment.
