MANILA -- Former couple Aga Muhlach and Janice de Belen reunited on Wednesday to show their support to their son Luigi, who had just opened his new restaurant Lumu.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Muhlach and de Belen both expressed how happy they are for Luigi, who is now living his dream.

“I am super proud kasi ito na 'yung gusto niyang gawin. Any parent naman would be super proud,” de Belen said.

“Matagal na [akong bilib kay Luigi]. Siya lang ang hindi bilib sa sarili niya. You just have to believe. I just want to congratulate him for a good job,” Muhlach added.

According to Luigi, Lumu is special to him because he worked hard for it for nine years.

“I just can’t believe na finally I have a restaurant. Naalala ko dati nagbebenta lang ako ng shepherd’s pie sa Mercato. Walang dumadaan, walang kumakain sa akin. Na-push ako. A lot of people really didn’t believe na kaya ko ito. So I worked hard. I am just glad to be here. I have Lumu now,” he said.

Located in Greenbelt, Lumu offers a delicious throwback to the Pinoy beerhouses of old. It is a place where the food is sinful and the alcohol is relatively cheap.

The name can be either interpreted as "Love U, Miss U" or a shortened version of Luigi’s name.

REUNION PROJECT?

Meanwhile, Muhlach and de Belen were unable to avoid questions about a possible project together following the successful TV reunion of former couple Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion.

When asked if they are open to it, Muhlach said: “Bakit naman hindi? Hindi naman kami magkaaway.”

De Belen echoed this and said: “Oo naman, hindi naman kami magkaaway so okay lang.”

Although they are no longer together, Muhlach and de Belen have remained in good terms.

Muhlach is now married to Charlene Gonzalez with whom he has twins, Andres and Atasha.

De Belen, on the other hand, was previously married to John Estrada until it was annulled in 2014. They have four children.
