MANILA – Following her break up with Cholo Barretto last year, Ryza Cenon said she is not yet ready to enter into a new relationship.

Despite this, the actress is entertaining those who show interest but she is honest to them about where she stands.

“I’m entertaining [suitors]—nonshowbiz. But I’m honest with them. I tell them I’m not yet ready. But some say they’re willing to wait,” she was quoted to have said in an Inquirer article.

When asked if she now prefers to date non-showbiz guys, the Kapamilya actress said: “My other past relationships were with nonshowbiz guys. Cholo was the first one. Now, I would rather date someone who’s not from the industry, because I know that the relationship can be quieter… more private.”

And as for Barretto, Cenon said she is no longer in the right position to comment on what’s going on in his life, or in the life of any of her exes.

“It’s their choice, their lives. If they’re happy, I’m happy for them. I have no right to meddle because we’re not together anymore. It’s done. Hanggang doon na lang ‘yun,” she said.
