MANILA -- Geoff Eigenmann has only been a father for five months so far but the actor said his daughter has already changed how he sees everything in life.

“Siyempre iba 'yung magiging priorities mo. Spending is different. Hindi lang sarili mo na ang iniisip mo. Family na talaga. I’m responsible for two other people and one of them is a newborn child so iba na talaga,” he said.

Although having a family entails more responsibilities, Eigenmann said he is fortunate to have his partner, singer Angeli Mae Flores, also known as Maya, who is a dedicated mother.

“She’s been itching to go back [to singing]. She’s been wanting to pero siyempre mahirap 'yung responsibility of being a pure breastfed mom. Ang priority talaga namin is our daughter. Puwede naman ma-hold off 'yung work for a while pero she’s been itching to go back,” he said.

Nonetheless, Eigenmann said all their sacrifices are worth it every time they see their daughter.

“I guess any parent would agree with me din naman na kahit na sobrang pagod, kapag nakita mo 'yung anak mo, nawawala 'yung pagod. It’s all worth it,” he said.

Since Eigenmann and Flores have been together for over two years now, are they also planning to tie the knot?

“Not yet. As of now our priority is, of course, our daughter. We’ll see what happens. We are taking each month one by one. No rush naman pero napag-uusapan din naman,” he said.

In a March interview on "Tonight with Boy Abunda," Eigenmann, the son of Michael de Mesa and Gina Alajar, said it is comforting that his family approves of their relationship.
