MANILA – Matteo Guidicelli was one proud fiancé after witnessing his girlfriend Sarah Geronimo conquer the Araneta Coliseum during her and Regine Velasquez’s concert on Friday.
Seated in the front row, Guidicelli was all smiles when Geronimo acknowledged him for the support he’s given her leading up to the show.
“Thank you sa love ko (Thank you to my love),” Geronimo said as the audience erupted in cheers.
The pop star continued to thank her family, especially her parents for their unending love.
“At siyempre po, nagpapasalamat ako sa aking pamilya - ang aking daddy Delfin, mommy Divine, sa aking mga kapatid. Nandoon sila [sa backstage],” she said.
("Of course, I thank my family - my Daddy Delfin, Mommy Divine, my siblings. They are [in the backstage].")
Before that, Geronimo made fans giddy when she looked at and pointed to Guidicelli while singing a part of “Kilometro.”
At the end of the show, the couple sent the crowd abuzz when Guidicelli went on stage to hand Geronimo a bouquet of flowers, along with Ogie Alcasid, who gave Velasquez hers.
It was notable that the actor did not take the same seat during the second night of Geronimo and Velasquez’s show on Saturday, opting to stay backstage while he let his family watch the concert at the arena.
Guidicelli and Geronimo, known to be a notoriously private couple, first made public their engagement last November.
It was a belated reveal, according to the former's brother, Paolo, who said that the actual engagement happened "about a year" prior.
