MANILA -- JM de Guzman won’t be going out on a date on Valentine’s Day.

De Guzman told entertainment website Push that he’s not focusing on love for now because he wants to seize every opportunity being given to him.

"’Yung mga blessings ngayon na binibigay sa akin, kailangan ko muna sigurong pagtuunan ng pansin. At maibigay ko 'yung 100% focus ko to reach my goals for my family, for myself. 'Yun muna siguro," he said.

Among his projects is an upcoming movie with Arci Munoz which will be produced by Black Sheep.

When asked if he will soon reunite with Barbie Imperial for a project, he said: “So far, wala pa pong nababanggit sa akin. May sariling career path yata si Barbie and ako. Siguro in the future."

Last January, de Guzman drew "kilig" when he explicitly told Imperial in a video that he wants to be her boyfriend.

It remains unclear when exactly he posted the video, but Push published a story on it on January 2.

De Guzman and Imperial grew closer after they worked on the series “Araw Gabi.”
