When coping with heartbreak, many cut their hair. Erich Gonzales proves to be no different.

On Thursday, the actress finally confirmed her breakup with boyfriend and leading man Daniel Matsunaga. Later in the same day, she debuted her significantly shorter hairdo on Instagram.

Gonzales said goodbye to her lengthy, light-brown locks, replaced by a thick, shoulder-length bob cut.

Many of her fans were quick to express their support for the "Be My Lady" star, who said that she and Matsunaga are no longer in talking terms following their split.

"It's over. To be honest po, ayaw ko po sanang mag-detalye. I just want to move on. Hindi po kami nag-uusap. It's not true that we are talking. Hindi po kami magkaibigan," she said.

The two first admitted to being a couple back in 2015. Rumors about their breakup began circulating online after Gonzales puzzlingly deleted all of her photos with Matsunaga from her Instagram page.

Both Gonzales and Matsunaga have repeatedly denied that there was no third party involved. They, however, refused to detail why they decided to end their relationship.
