MANILA—"I will always be here for you. I love you my baby."

It's a seemingly simple message from Gabby Concepcion to her daughter, KC Concepcion, especially since they had just gone out on a date — the first time they were spotted together in a while.

But the Instagram post, a collage of sweet photos matched with equally saccharine quotes about love, is a curiosity to showbiz sleuths given KC's apparent tiff with her mother, Sharon Cuneta.

It is still anyone's guess as to what really happened between Cuneta and KC, stemming from the latter's decision to miss her mom's birthday celebration on "ASAP Natin 'To" last month.

Cuneta has already made it clear that she does not want to talk about it, just hinting to her followers that their latest problem goes deeper than KC's absence on the Sunday variety show.

Gabby made his post a day after KC had shared that they had gone out for dinner.

Their date came nearly a month after Cuneta had told her eldest, in an open letter, just how much she misses her.

She also asked her to not distance herself from their family, reminding her that she will always just be there for her.
