MANILA – Several fans were thrilled after photos of James Reid and K-pop star Nancy McDonie surfaced on the image-sharing site Instagram on Monday.
The two were pictured together for the look test of their upcoming series “The Soulmate Project” to be produced by ABS-CBN’s Dreamscape Entertainment.
In a previous interview, McDonie revealed that filming of the series is scheduled to start in February. The series, as she confirmed, will be partly set in the Philippines as well as in South Korea.
Of the project, McDonie, who is acting in a drama for the first time, told ABS-CBN News at that time that this experience is totally new to her.
"Different country, new culture, I'm very excited," she said.
Antoinette Jadaone, who also helmed Reid’s “On the Wings of Love,” and “Till I Met You,” will be writing and directing this new project.
McDonie is best known to Filipinos as part of the girl group Momoland, the group behind the hit "BBoom BBoom."
The group has already held several performances in the Philippines, and have featured the jeepney in their "BAAM" music video.
