And judging from fan reaction on Twitter, the South Korean girl group more than lived up to expectations.

Their sold-out performance at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay was the most talked about topic among Filipinos Saturday night, with the reviews being overwhelmingly positive.

"One of the best crowds! One of the best concerts!" wrote a fan, who shared a video of the members performing "As If It's Your Last" with fellow supporters, waving pink lightsticks, touchingly singing along.

For their first gig in the Philippines, Blackpink sang favorites such as "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du," "Really," "Forever Young," "Whistle," and "BOOMBAYAH" to go with their solo numbers.

At one point, the members were seen holding up dolls --apparent gifts from their Filipino fans-- and were at various moments trying to speak Tagalog to loud approvals from the enamored crowd.

Blackpink is a very popular group in the country, and they count some high-profile celebrities as fans. Among those in attendance were Liza Soberano, Anne Curtis, Maymay Entrata, and Ryan Bang.
