MANILA - Gerald Anderson was initially at a loss of words when asked if he would be willing to star in a project together with both his past girlfriends Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador.

In the Monday episode of "Tonight with Boy Abunda", the 28-year-old actor was at first quizzed on his current relationship with Chiu, with whom he was paired anew in the daytime series "Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin".

"It's a better situation from before. Dati kasi, hindi talaga nagpapansinan," Anderson said, referring to the time he and Chiu stopped being on speaking terms after the actor, and Chiu's best friend at the time, Salvador, admitted to being together.

Anderson and Chiu, both graduates of "Pinoy Big Brother" in 2006, broke up in 2010. Anderson and Salvador admitted their relationship in 2013, and broke up two years later.

Asked if he would be open to working with both actresses in one project, Anderson hesitated to answer at first, but went on: "Parang exciting din siya, e."

"Everyone's professional. Gusto nila ang trabaho nila. Why not? Trabaho din 'yun. Bakit naman hindi? Kung makapagbigay kami ng saya sa tao or excitement, bakit naman hindi?"

Each of the three is now romantically linked with another person.

Anderson has rekindled his romance with actress Bea Alonzo, his girlfriend for a time after Chiu. Salvador has admitted seeing a high school classmate, while Chiu continues to refer as "special" her relationship with actor Xian Lim.
