MANILA -- Television and radio host Tim Yap is engaged to his boyfriend, events director Javi Martinez Pardo.

Yap went down on one knee and proposed to Pardo during his Miss Universe-themed 40th birthday party on Friday. Actress Lovi Poe posted a video of the proposal on Instagram.

"When you have good thing you have to make it last forever. ... Javi wear this ring and with all the people in the universe I want to ask you: will you be my partner for life?" Yap asked Pardo, who excitedly nod and kissed Yap on his lips.

Party guests Cristalle Belo, Isabelle Daza, KC Concepcion and Teacher Georcelle cheered the couple on.
