MANILA – Many Filipinos were surprised when they saw a billboard showing broadcaster Korina Sanchez with a much smaller face.

And even celebrities could not help but express their awe over Sanchez’s new look.

Designers Michael Cinco and Mark Bumgarner, former beauty queen Miriam Quiambao, actor Paolo Ballesteros, former actress Krista Ranillo, comedienne Giselle Sanchez, and dancer-actress Samantha Lopez were among those who heaped praise on Sanchez.

“Wow,” said Cinco, whose gowns have been worn by Hollywood stars and other well-known personalities in the country.

Bumgarner agreed, saying, “Gorgeous! Wow!”

Ballesteros, Ranillo, and Quiambao were one in saying that Sanchez looks more beautiful and much younger, while Sanchez joked that the broadcaster is already slimmer than she is.

Bernadette Sembrano, who took over when Sanchez left her spot in “TV Patrol” as anchor, for her part said: “How to be you? Gorgeous!”

Sanchez previously said that she underwent thermage, a non-invasive procedure that involved “deep heat infusion through radio frequency that makes the skin tight.”

“The jawline is much more defined, mas matalim, cheeks are high. Really instant,” she said.
