MANILA – Filmmaker Antoinette Jadaone published on Monday a cryptic blog about a troubled project, triggering speculation online as to the “heartbreaking” reasons behind the film’s delay.

“Filming for #foolishmovie is becoming erratic,” she wrote. “Sayang, andun na ang momentum eh. More and more shooting days cancelled – some reasons more heartbreaking than others, so heartbreaking they make me cry.”

Jadaone did not specify which film she is referring to, only using the hashtag “foolishmovie”. She, however, had used this same hashtag in earlier blog posts on a film project starring James Reid and Nadine Lustre, before it was officially titled “Never Not Love You” in late December.

In her latest blog, Jadaone continued: “I’m just worried. I hope I sustain my excitement for as long as I can. I know myself too well – I work better when I am excited, when I am inspired. Lord, grant me patience. I pray for this movie. I pray for myself too. Take it easy, teh.”

In a tweet Sunday, Jadaone brought up a similar topic: “Woke up to know pack up ang shoot bigla. Now what to do today?”

Jadaone mused in her blog whether she should focus on another project instead, “to make my heart flutter again.” She mentioned a “Project Boldstar” and a “Project Soulmate” as possible options.

“Mabuti na ‘to kaysa kain lang ako nang kain habang nabuburyong, ‘di ba?” she closed, without giving further details about the reasons behind the project’s troubles.

On Twitter, where Jadaone actively interacts with fans, followers speculated whether it was indeed “Never Not Love You” that the director was referring to in the blog. Some noted that the film with Lustre and Reid was the most recently announced project of Jadaone, who also worked with real-life couple in “On the Wings of Love” and “Till I Met You”.

Viva Films, the producer of “Never Not Love You”, has yet to release a statement responding to speculation on the film’s supposed delay.
