MANILA — After more than a year on air, the top-rating series “Kadenang Ginto” is counting down to its finale.
In a teaser released on Monday, the afternoon drama is said to be nearing its conclusion, with the tagline, “Ang Nalalapit na Pagatapos.”
Going by the preview, upcoming episodes will see a desperate Daniela (Dimples Romana) resorting to violence, as she masterminds a bomb explosion at an event organized by her archrival Romina (Beauty Gonzalez).
The warring sides of the Mondragon family have been the central story of “Kadenang Ginto” since it October 2018 premiere.
In a recent pivotal turn — which also revealed the significance of the series’ title — Romina finally confirmed that her husband Robert (Albert Martinez) was her unknown assailant.
The rape resulted in Cassie’s (Francine Diaz) birth, belatedly revealing her biological connection with the Mondragon patriarch.
With Romina’s stronger claim on the Mondragon fortune, and Daniela being abandoned by her family, her last card, it appears, involves simply eliminating those between her and her goal.
