MANILA – Before she became the big star that she is today, Bea Alonzo was a contestant at a beauty pageant where she caught the attention of a fashion designer.

Following that, one of her good friends urged her to audition for the 10th batch of Star Circle, which later on became the launching pad of her showbiz career.

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach was also one of her co-stars in one of her first TV shows.

Since she was discovered at a beauty competition, Star Magic asked Alonzo typical pageant questions, like her definition of success, to what she plans to do if she wins the crown, and what she thinks is the essence of being a woman.

Alonzo is the lead star of the upcoming series "A Love to Last." It will start airing on ABS-CBN on Monday after "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano."

Aside from Alonzo, the series also stars Ian Veneracion, Iza Calzado, Enchong Dee, Julia Barretto, Ronnie Alonte and JK Labajo.
