MANILA -- Damage to agriculture due to tropical storm Enteng has reached P350.85 million, according to the Department of Agriculture (DA).

The DA said around 94 percent of the damaged crops were rice plants. Four percent of the crops were corn, while the other 1 percent were high-value crops.

About 13,600 farmers and fishermen were affected by the storm, the DA said.

At least 12 people reportedly died amid the onslaught of Enteng, which flooded large swaths of Luzon.

Enteng left the Philippine area of responsibility early Wednesday but would continue to enhance the southwest monsoon, bringing gusty winds and up to intense rains over the western section of Luzon, including Metro Manila.
