The NLEX also implemented a toll hike in June of 2023, but it was only allowed to collect half of the periodic adjustments it was entitled to for 2018 and 2020. This would serve as the second tranche of the increase, if approved.

Carullo said the possible additional payment will be the same as last time: an extra P7 in the open system and P0.36 per kilometer in the closed system.
