What started as a small stall in 1938, Ferinos Bibingka is now a common fixture in shopping malls, selling the Filipino favorite in a variety of sizes and flavors.

"Dalawa lang ang store namin noon. Pero ang tatay ko na accountant by profession, iniwan yung trabaho niya para ipagpatuloy ang family business namin," Sonny Ferino, the grandson of the pastry chain's founder told "My Puhunan."

The young Ferino said his grandfather sold bibingka on the street until he was given a stall at the Manila Hotel.
