MANILA - SM Mall of Asia will observe regular operating hours from Nov. 11 to 15, even as security is tight in the area due to the ASEAN Summit, mall operator SM said Wednesday.
The mall will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends and holidays during the week of the summit.
However, the Mall of Asia Annex, S Maison and SMX Convention Center will be closed on Nov. 12 and will resume operations the following day. Shops facing these buildings will also be closed, SM said.
From 10 p.m. of Nov. 11 to midnight of Nov. 12, the SMX Convention Center will be on lockdown for the special ASEAN gala night.
Authorities on Wednesday rerouted traffic around the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex in Pasay City, which was on partial lockdown.
Malacañang has declared Nov. 13, 14, and 15 as special non-working days in Metro Manila, Bulacan, and Pampanga due to the ASEAN Summit. Metro Manila mayors also suspended classes in all levels on Nov. 16 and 17 because of the event.
