PANGLAO, Bohol – An international airport here is nearly complete, with its inauguration set in November, an official overseeing the construction said Thursday.

The pinewood and ceramic floor tiles have been laid out. Check-in counters, elevators, escalators and a baggage carousel have been installed, said project director Edgar Mangalili.

The project is 95.36 percent complete, Mangalili said. Bad weather, which delayed the delivery of materials, set back construction, which was projected to finish in August, he said.

The Panglao International Airport can accommodate 7 aircraft at a time, Mangalili said. It is projected to absorb traffic from the Tagbilaran Airport, also in Bohol.
