MANILA - Manila Water Company Inc said Thursday it would spend P115 billion for waste water projects in its concession area, which covers Metro Manila's east zone.

The approved 2018 business plan includes the disbursement of the fund for sewage treatment plant, septage treatment plants and other reliability projects in the East Zone from 2018 to 2037, the Ayala-led utility told the stock exchange.

"We confirm that the Company’s 2018 Approved Business Plan includes disbursements for waste water projects from 2018 to 2037 in the East Zone totaling approximately ₱115 Billion," Manila Water said.

At least P38.4 billion was earmarked for the 2018 to 2022 period, the statement said.
