MANILA -- ABS-CBN said Monday it launched a version of its TVplus digital TV service for mobile devices, promising to make the daily commute more entertaining.

The P799 ABS-CBN TVplus Go is a dongle that attaches to the bottom port of Android phones, allowing users to watch TVplus channels on their gadgets, the country's largest media and entertainment company said in a statement.

"Millions of Filipinos use mobile devices as part of their everyday lives. We aim to serve every Filipino by providing easy and affordable access to entertainment and information from their favorite Kapamilya channels right at their fingertips with ABS-CBN TVplus Go," ABS-CBN Access head Charles Lim said.

"This product will transform our customers’ daily inconveniences into moments of comfort and entertainment, and it will help change their outlook, as commute struggles will now become lighter and more bearable," he said.

ABS-CBN TVplus Go is currently available in 28 Cellboy and Celltime branches in SM Malls after it was launched last Saturday.

The product offers clear and crisp picture and sound on free-to-air channels such as ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN S+A and exclusives such as DZMM TeleRadyo, CineMo, YeY, Knowledge Channel, MYX, Asianovela Channel, Movie Central, Jeepney TV, and O Shopping.

ABS-CBN TVplus Go follows the success ABS-CBN TVplus, which made the company the country’s pioneer in digital terrestrial television selling over 7 million boxes so far and iWant, a streaming app with 11.3 million downloads.
